Real Wedding // Emily + Dillon // Malibu

4 / 10 / 173 / 23 / 18

Emily + Dillon’s romantic, dusty rose hued wedding was one of the most fun days we’ve had the honor of planning! Filled to the brim with personal touches and a large crowd of cheering friends and family, these two were showered with love all day long. From the get-go, Emily + Dillon wanted to infuse their wedding with sentiments and decor that were personal to them.

Since Emily is a geologist, we decided to go with hues inspired by duty rose quartz gems. We incorporated stone ‘chargers’ into the place settings and added copper touches with tumblers and flatware from our favorites at Borrowed Blu to round it out. Guest’s names were hand-written in copper ink and tied to torn parchment finished with a silk ribbon. Dani of Laceroots Floral brought in the gorgeous blooms and dripping greenery we were absolutely in love with! Just look at those hanging lanterns… so romantic, right? Custom calligraphy and wooden signage by The Honeycomb Collective  complemented the rustic charm of the Oaks Room.

Another exciting element to this wedding? The adorable “flower grams” walking down the aisle! The adorable grandmas had guests cracking up as they showered each other with petals (and even threw some at the guests!). Forestry Films did an incredible job capturing the romance and the excitement Emily + Dillon shared on their day. We can’t wait to keep laughing alongside one of our favorite couples, ever. Cheers to the Stamms!

Real Wedding // Melanie + Jay // Long Beach

2 / 14 / 173 / 23 / 18

There are not enough sweet words to describe Melanie + Jay and their modern wedding at the Ebell of Long Beach. These two are seriously adorable and seriously in love. Captured beautifully by Jennifer Young Studio, their wedding day was filled with modern touches and minimal style. Bright shades of green were incorporated into the decor and complemented the Ebell’s already extensive foliage. Melanie chose a simple and flowing wedding gown and her maids wore lovely shades of blush. To brighten up the minimal decor, copper elements were woven into the table settings and the various little vignettes around the space.

Melanie + Jay opted for an updated take on their guestbook that really got guests interacting. Those in attendance snapped Polaroids of themselves and glued them into a kraft book with sweet messages to the happy couple. Since these two absolutely love coffee, a custom espresso bar from Urban Espresso was set up at the end of the night and a doughnut dessert bar was also displayed. Flavors like strawberry cereal and Cap’n Crunch are two favorites the couple wanted their guests to enjoy.

Real Wedding // Lynn + Andy // Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel

2 / 6 / 173 / 23 / 18

Lynn and Andy came to us with a gorgeous vision for their Ritz Carlton wedding in Laguna Niguel along with one amazing group of talented vendors we were so excited to work with. Wanting to capitalize on the breathtaking scenery Southern California’s beaches have to offer, we kept the wedding outside for as long as possible before turning the ballroom into a bright ‘after party’ lounge furnished by the chic Found Rentals. Custom installed twinkling lights by Classic Party Rentals were measured and strung to really give guests the feeling of dining under a canopy of stars. A color scheme of soft blushes and greys complimented the Ritz Carlton’s courtyard and mimicked the sunset’s hues as the night went on. Shining crystal and gold accents on the tablescapes provided the right amount of sparkle to round out the decor. Adrienne at The Bloom of Time outdid herself with the lush garlands and enormous dahlias that made such a floral statement!

Throughout the entire planning process, Lynn was enthusiastic and ready to make the romantic seaside inspiration come to life and we are so thankful to have been along for the adventure. Wishing Lynn + Andy a truly happily ever after.

Real Wedding // Jeannine + Nick // San Diego

1 / 23 / 173 / 23 / 18

Jeannine is a dear friend of ours who we met during our college years as Alpha Phi sisters. We’ve spent countless hours together at the sorority house and Jeannine and Chelsea even worked together coordinating the Red Dress Gala philanthropy event. Planning the biggest event of Jeannine’s life with her was a natural fit! Nick is currently serving in the Navy and stationed in San Diego, so the couple decided it was a perfect location for their wedding. Nick had a couple months off before he was back in action and their big day was timed perfectly to allow all members of their family to attend.

The wedding was a reunion on another level with the photography shot by Aaron Young Photography, who all of us worked with years ago for Alpha Phi’s Red Dress Gala. Jeannine + Nick and their gorgeous wedding party posed for pictures at the University of San Diego’s Immaculata Church before heading to the reception at military-based Admiral Baker Golf Course. Jeannine kept shades of navy and gold woven through her decor and her florals by Studio Fleurish fit the space and classic feel perfectly.

Our favorite detail? The custom ice cream sandwiches at the end of the night by The Baked Bear! Guests were treated to these treats after a packed evening full of so much joy. Congratulations, Jeannine + Nick – we wish you a forever sweet love 🙂

Real Wedding // Victoria + Kevin // Santa Barbara

12 / 16 / 163 / 23 / 18

Victoria + Kevin’s sparkly Santa Barbara wedding was everything our clients dreamed of and more! We’ve had the honor of being close friends with Victoria since our Alpha Phi days back at UC Irvine and getting the opportunity to coordinate her wedding was a dream come true. We worked closely with her multiple vendors to pull off a seamless and romantic oceanfront wedding. We stayed with a neutral color palette of champagnes and golds to complement the soft earthy tones of Fess Parker. Romantic florals were enhanced by soft candlelight from Bottles and Blooms.

This wedding topped our list as being one full of surprises! During their first dance, Victoria’s sister Valerie surprised the newlyweds with a personal message and recording from singer Tyrone Wells. The smile on Victoria’s face couldn’t have been bigger! For her father/daughter dance, Victoria and her dad turned their routine into a full performance of Gangnam Style and Whip/Nae Nae. Later in the night, Victoria and her bridesmaids coordinated a Tahitian dance they performed for a stunned Kevin during the reception (dress change included!)

Soultones brought the house down and made sure every guest was up and out of their seats and on the dance floor all night. Yogurtland rolled in their signature yogurt at night to complement the ‘toppings bar’ chock full of sweets and set against a custom backdrop from Bottles and Blooms and Happily Ever Etched. The party continued into the lobby after the wedding where guests ate pizza and sipped on cocktails.

We wish Victoria + Kevin a lifetime of wedded bliss as they embark on this next chapter together!

We love it when our couples incorporate additional "first looks." Victoria had a bridesmaids first look as well as a first look with her dad because each of those moments are special.
