It’s no secret we love where we live and what better way to soak up all of California’s sun than with a vibrant, citrus-filled shoot?! We adored working with the ever-so-talented Brooke Bakken who captured all the pretty images and Bottles & Blooms who contributed all of those gorgeous blooms and one heck of a fun DIY mojito bar.
Heritage House Museum in Orange County lent the perfect backdrop with its own orange grove and it smelled as amazing as it looked. We wanted to incorporate different citrus varieties into the shoot and weave it seamlessly in every aspect. From the bouquet, to the cake, to the table setting, to the ceremony decor – keeping a theme consistent in all aspects of an event really helps tie it together.
Choura Events lent us all the pretty rentals you see: from the industrial style bar and ceremony chairs to the clean and bright flatware. We loved how it all complemented the space and didn’t overpower the romantic undertones.
We wanted to try something a little different than table numbers, so we crafted a vinyl decal that adhered to the glass cloche that stood in for a traditional number. There’s so many creative ways to direct your guests to their seat and coming up with out-of-the-box ideas to convey those messages really amps up the design factor.
We hope this Southern California Citrus Style Shoot cheers up your day! Check out the feature in Ruffled Blog!
